We have occasional power outages where I live for no apparent reason. I'm told it's because of squirrels who somehow mess up the power lines. Seriously? We live in an age of technology unparalleled in the course of human history, and we can't protect power lines from squirrels (or squirrels from power lines, for that matter)?
Apparently not. Because apparently, the place I live is not the only place this happens.
