When I first read about this, I thought, well, maybe he has a point. After all, everybody who serves in the military is not a saint, and if you're not a saint, you don't become one just by being killed.
Then, I read the definition of a hero. It's "a man of distinguished courage or ability, admired for his brave deeds and noble qualities." Yes, those people who have died for our country are heroes. They may not all be perfect, but they have shown much more courage and bravery than I ever have. Whatever faults they may have had, they also have noble qualities. They are heroes. No one should say otherwise.
