I don't know if I've actually said so yet, but I think Paul Ryan is a fine choice for vice president. He's someone who's serious--you can actually see him being president. He's someone who's knowledgeable about the budget and economic matters. It puts the focus of the campaign both on the economy and on out-of-control government spending.
Will the Democrats say all kinds of terrible things about him? Of course, but they were going to do that anyway. What are they going to do, accuse Mitt Romney of being a murderer? Oh, wait, they've already done that.
