A lot of people seem to put it in politicians, political parties, and political ideologies. That's why it's so hard for people who disagree about politics to have a polite, civilized discussion. Too many people don't look at a political disagreement as an exchange of differing but legitimately held positions. They look at it as a dispute between good and evil, and of course, you don't look for common ground with evil. You defeat evil, by any means you can.
