There is nothing in the scoring rules that says "it is an error when you fail to make a play using ordinary effort, except if the pitcher would otherwise get a no-hitter, in which you case you score an error if they player could conceivably have gotten an out had he made a spectacular play that would've been shown on ESPN every night for the next six weeks." A hit is a hit and an error is an error, regardless of the circumstances surrounding it.
